Classes

Kindy Puppy Class for puppies 8 weeks to 4 months.  The course aims include:

• To teach puppies to interact happily and confidently with other puppies and people
• To address common problems such as toilet training, biting, chewing, mouthing
• To begin basic training
• To increase confidence, and give puppies new experiences such as mini obstacle courses and trick training

Classes run for 6 weeks, each lesson is 45 minutes, cost is $165.  Classes are Wednesdays 6.30pm at Somersby and Thursdays 7.15pm at West Gosford.  An additional class on Wednesdays at 7.45pm may be available at busy times.

Primary Puppy Class for puppies 4 to 6 months.  The course aims include:

• To maintain and enhance social interactions with other dogs and people (polite on lead greetings with dogs and keeping 4 paws on the floor with people)
• Introduction to recalls (coming when called)
• Introduction to lead walking
• Teaching the ability to settle and relax, and stay still to be brushed, have harness put on etc
• To help you understand what is "normal" behaviour for dogs this age, and deal with any problems before they escalate
• Appropriate games to play and activities to provide mental stimulation

Primary Puppy Classes run for 6 weeks, each lesson is 45 minutes, cost is $165.  Classes are Saturdays at Somersby, (times vary depending on the time of year), and Thursdays 5.15pm at Somersby.

Canine Basics Class for any friendly dogs over 4 months.  The course aims include:

• Teaching your dog to walk nicely on lead without pulling
• Coming back when called with some distractions
• To politely greet people without jumping up
• To meet or walk past dogs calmly
• Teaching lie down/settle and sit/stay
• Helping your dog to concentrate and focus on you when other stuff is happening

Classes run for 6 weeks, each lesson is 1 hour, cost is $185.  Classes are Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings at Somersby School (times vary depending on time of year).

Further Training

Other classes are available depending on demand and the time of year.

Agility classes run on an ongoing basis but due to their popularity, new places are rarely available, and are only for dogs who have completed other training with me.

Classes may also be available for Obedience, Rally Obedience and Trick Training, depending on demand and available class time slots.

Information will be provided to those already attending classes so that you know what's available after completing your course.
