WOOFS & WAGS Pet Dog Training was first established in 2000, and in 2001 I was awarded my Certificate IV in Dog Behavioural Training (Canine Good Citizen TM).
My aim is to provide training that is effective and fun, using reward based methods so that dogs and owners alike can enjoy learning together. Children are also welcome to train their dog in class if they are old enough and able to do so. I specialise in early and ongoing socialisation and training for puppies and young dogs, to ensure your puppy grows up to be happy, relaxed and well behaved in a variety of situations both at home and when out and about. There are classes targeted at specific age groups for puppies and young adult dogs, as well as more advanced training available once they have completed basic classes.
The classes are structured at different levels to ensure your puppy can expand on their training, maintain their social skills, provide mental stimulation and help avoid or address any issues you may be experiencing before they become a real problem.
The way I teach others to train their dogs in class is the same as the way I teach my own dogs; I have over 2 decades of experience in teaching dogs day to day life skills, as well as training all the way up to competition level. With Comet and Jaffa, we have competed in many dog sports including Agility, Rally, Dances with Dogs, Obedience and Tricks. They have attained multiple titles across these sports and we have lots of fun along the way!
Star the Border Collie is our new family member who joined us in March 2026 at 8 weeks old, so I'm now getting a personal refresher course in raising a puppy!
